Body Language – You Can
I know that I’ am going to be beat up by comrade Walter Wisenheimer for this, but there is only one QUEEN album I can stand – it’s “Hot Space”, Queens version of a disco album. One of the singles was “Body Language” and I am pretty sure this quartet from Brooklyn named itself after this song. I really really enjoyed their last years “Social Studies” album, a collection of four limited 10’’ singles with music between indie pop, House, afrobeat, disco and electropop. They served as the backing band for Theophilus London and even produced with Passion Pit for their great debut album “Manners”! Now here’s their mildly quirky haunted castle video to “You Can”. Enjoy.

Half of Queen’s “Hot Space” ist the best music they ever did. Inspired by Nile Rodgers (Chic) and Moroder (who by the way both feature on the upcoming Daft Punk album) they connected dots of late 70s eDisco, future funk and house music, before it had a name.
