Lukas Graham – The voice 2.0

Do you remember John Farnham? Of course, you don’t have to, but back in the days in 1986 this guy from Australia released the single “You’re the voice” which became a tremendous worldwide success and John was known as “The voice” from that day on. I’m telling you this, because I think this might happen to Lukas Graham, too.

Lukas is 23 years old, of Irish and Danish descent, born, raised and still living in Christiania in Copenhagen and he has a voice you don’t often hear in Denmark or elsewhere for that matter. Although his music is quite different (and better, of course) from the one John Farnham does, one might think, he’s John’s grandchild when you look at him with his mullet and in his white wife beater. Sort of “The voice 2.0″.

His first single “Ordinary Things”, released late October 2011, became the most popular song in Denmark in the last months and his debut album will be released March 26th 2012 on Copenhagen Records.

My prediction is, that this guy will be BIG(!) in a couple of months, so you definitely shouldn’t miss the opportunity to see him live on his upcoming tour throughout Denmark, Sweden, Norway and Germany!

If you’re not convinced yet, just watch the video of his live performance of “Ordinary things” below. Got it?
